They hit without hands
Bite without teeth
They kick without feet.
Farmers flee in fright
Ranchers spur off to safety
Whenever Avalanches come calling.
Trees are snapped like mere shrubs
Branches fly off into the sky like
flags
Announcing the arrival of a formidable
force.
The sparrow takes off
The fox follows suit
Man and beast run for dear life.
Who has heated up the sky
Who has severed their bond with the
mountain
Who has provoked them to anger?
Down the mountain they roll
Furiously down to the oil rich
valley
Where deaf and blind men still flare their gas.
